Our guided tour provides a street-level, hands-on view of another side of the city once known as the “Pearl of the Orient.” Saigon’s extraordinary visual culture is a fascinating pastiche of visual, artistic and architectural styles, legacies and stories. Our tour will explore all of it: hidden contemporary art galleries and propaganda-plastered billboards, abandoned Art Deco cinemas and colonial French villas, lacquerware artisans and masters of silk painting, fine art museums and antique browsing, and splendid examples of Buddhist, Islamic, Hindu and other architectural traditions
